What is the Gran Fondo Eleuthera?

Gran Fondo is an Italian term which loosely translates to “Big Ride”. The Ride for Hope Gran Fondo Eleuthera is, essentially, very similar to all previous rides, but with a fundraising twist. The first Ride for Hope Gran Fondo was initiated during the 10th Anniversary of Ride for Hope.

Participants collectively achieved lofty goals by fundraising amounts linked to their participation. There were six different levels of participation, each level with its own fundraising minimum and rider benefits. All riders accepted and rose to the challenge! This new fundraising minimum during the 10th Anniversary Gran Fondo created a philanthropic response of more than $550,000. The fundraising effort per participant skyrocketed by 195% over the last event. Ride for Hope is excited to continue with the true spirit of a fundraiser in an effort to garner funds together to meaningfully impact a critical cause, and eradicate cancer from our shores.

The Ride for Hope Gran Fondo gives participants the opportunity to make an impact and be a part of a fun and memorable weekend by joining hundreds of enthusiastic cyclists for a mass-start, fully-supported gran fondo, complete with a challenging course through the beautiful island of Eleuthera. The Ride for Hope Gran Fondo is a ride, not a race, and has distance options for all abilities.
