Teams:
Creating a team
Companies, friends and family, and departments or other groups within the community, are encouraged to participate, focusing on a common purpose – raising donations that go towards early cancer detection research and Ride for Hope programs.

We have two types of teams to choose from:

  • Corporate teamsteams established by company employees or company administration, who want to ride or run for a good cause and are looking to improve teamwork and camaraderie.
  • Friends and family teamsmixed teams motivated by riding or running for a good cause, and/or to honor someone touched by cancer.

What makes a team?
A team consists of a minimum of 4 riders/runners committed to fundraising and participating in one of the routes within the Ride & Run for Hope.

  • Teams can appoint a team captain to help manage fundraising and training.
  • Teams are responsible for reaching the same minimum fundraising threshold of $500 per runner, plus registration, to participate in the run.
  • Teams can raise the money collectively, e.g. 10 runners must raise $5000, but individuals within the team can raise different amounts.
